Roald Dahl Day
This week, Year 3 celebrated the life and story writing of Roald Dahl. Children came to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character and participated in lots of fun-filled activities. Parents were invited to join their children in making a marvellous juice based on Roald Dahl’s story, ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’. The children had great fun mixing their favourite juices and sweets and creating magical names for them with funky labels and tags. They wrote down the different ingredients they used in their juices and created interesting names for each ingredient. This was then followed up in their English lessons later on in the week by writing a set of instructions.
“I liked it because we could make special juice and we did lots of fun things with our parents.”
Mirei and Deeksha, 3A.
“I liked it because we could dress up as characters and I went as James from James and the Giant Peach!” James, 3A
