On Monday, students and staff all returned ready for the Summer Term feeling refreshed and excited to begin their new topics and learning. Year 2 began their new unit in History exploring the role of a monarchy and imagined the rules they would instate if they got the chance to become a King or Queen. Whilst Year 5 have been inspired to start writing short scary stories with much suspense and spookiness!

In assemblies, students reflected on what goals and targets they had set for themselves at the start of the academic year and how it isn’t always a simple straightforward path to being successful. They were reminded of the need to persevere and not give up, offering support to others as well, and considered their aims for achieving excellence this term. We look forward to them continuing to persist and try so that they achieve their dreams and goals, with of course the support from their teachers, parents, and each other!
