As we begin a new academic year, we look back on the achievements of the previous year. The Year 11 and Year 13 students of Britannica managed to achieve excellent Mathematics results in their Exams this summer.

In year 11 the students managed to achieve 62% A grade or better, with 5A*s, 3As, 1B, 3Cs and 1D. Four of the five students who achieved A* are pictured above.

In Year 13, 57% managed to achieve an A grade.

Well done to all the students who completed their studies this year!

The Mathematics department has been joined by Mr Paul Hall, a veteran teacher of 15 years who has taught in London for the last 7 years. The combined experience of our Mathematics department, now totals 36 years, meaning the students of Britannica are in expert hands.

Due to the success and experience of the department, we have chosen to expand our curriculum to also include A level further Mathematics and we have also extended our IGCSE Further Mathematics to include Year 10. Year 10 will now have the advantage of thaking their course over 2 years instead of 1.

One of our alumni, Selina Tang, who achieved an A in both her A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics, has proceeded to study Mathematics at one of the top universities in the United States.
