In between the rainy thunderstorms, Year 1 have managed to find sunny drier times to learn outside of the classroom this week. The children love learning outdoors and clearly enjoyed experimenting with sand and water in different-sized containers as they explored capacity and volume as part of their Maths learning.

Year 3 have also enjoyed investigating this week in their Science lessons; as they have been developing their understanding of a ‘fair test’ and exploring the strength of different magnet types. They were particularly amazed by the floating paper clips attached to a string! Whilst continuing with Science learning, Year 4 have been identifying the functions of each organ when we eat our food. 4A shared some of their learning about the digestive system so far with us in assembly today by giving us a tour of Mr Benson’s insides!
