Britannica caught World Cup Fever today as the entire secondary school came together to have their own tournament. All the kids did amazingly well in sweltering conditions and it was Spain who triumphed in the end; defeating South Korea in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout.

The hero of the day was Gavin who not only scored in the penalty shootout but saved the last kick to win it for his team! Every country had their own moments of brilliance and it was great to see the pupils and teachers playing together at the end of a great year at Britannica.

A special mention also goes out to Brazil and Colombia who got to the Semi-Finals and did themselves proud. The other teams that competed France, Japan, Mexico and Nigeria also worked really hard and all the games were close and competitive.

Most importantly, the whole tournament was played in good spirits and everyone showed excellent sportsmanship through-out the day.
