There has been a real feeling of excitement in classrooms this week with many exciting activities happening in lessons, some highlights of the week are below:

Year 7 completed their first chicken dissection lesson in Science, identifying different joints, tissues and muscles.

Year 9 became creative in Spanish forming a student band and performing a song entirely in Spanish.

Years 10-12 were put through their paces in an exhausting fitness and cardio session by the PE team.

In other news, following the appointments of Head Boy and Girl, the student leadership team have been working collaboratively to write their introductory speeches which they will deliver at both Primary and Secondary assemblies next week.

I am also pleased to announce that one of our Secondary students has been invited to attend the Cambridge International Examination board ‘Outstanding Learners’ award ceremony. I will write separately in more detail next week.

Next week sees the start of the World Scholars Cup preparations and will be kicked off by a presentation from Jason Hu from the WSC organisation. This will be our largest WSC cohort to date and I look forward to updating you throughout the year.

Mr Nicholas spent Thursday afternoon attending a UK university conference hosted by Loughborough University. Preparations are well underway for our schedule of university presentations and higher education symposiums this year, of which Mr Nicholas will send information to parents throughout the year.
