This week finally brought the return of Maths Week to Britannica Shanghai. In Secondary we had various activities and competitions happening throughout. Congratulations go to the Yellow Tigers team of Rhema Wen, David Yang, Lincoln Lin and William Wu, who produced a dominant display in the House Maths Bowl, vanquishing their opponents over the course of four rounds of problem solving tasks. Earlier in the week students were submitting numbers for the ‘Find the Median’ game, where they had to try and guess what their peers were thinking, and come up with the number that would land in the middle of all submissions. Remarkably this was also won by Rhema! Impressive deduction skills. Finally on Friday we had Wear a Number Day, where students were invited to represent their favourite number for a day. On the day students took part in further problem solving tasks, testing their Mathematical fundamentals to the limit.
