Working collaboratively is something that we enjoy celebrating at Britannica and this week we had a lot to celebrate.

On Tuesday, some of our Key Stage 2 children and parents took part in our Blooming Anew Art workshop run by Harmony Class. They used old materials and decorations to make a beautiful garden of artwork.

Wednesday afternoon’s Pumpkin Palooza was a huge highlight of the week and a great success! The children looked incredible in their wonderful costumes and with the sun shining it was a glorious day to take part in the various stalls and activities. Thank you to parents for your support with the costumes and joining in with the event.

Today our Year 5 children visited the Chocolate Factory to see the production of chocolate from bean to bar and took every opportunity to sample the different flavours. Also this week, Year 1 have been showing off their writing skills as they have rewritten their own versions of the Knuffle Bunny. Year 2 have been measuring up this week; learning how to use a ruler accurately to measure objects around the classroom. Year 3 have completed their non-chronological reports and Year 4 have been researching their own World Leader, learning about the importance of E-safety and how to identify reliable sources of information. Year 6 have been writing from different perspectives, considering how to convey the thoughts and feelings of different characters.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone back to school on Monday, 11th November.
