Dear Parents,

As we draw near to the winter holiday, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your

overwhelmingly positive support during the Autumn term. The school has made progress in many areas,

especially in improving routines and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our students. There

have been many high points and lots to celebrate since September and the students have been an

absolute credit to both you and the school. I remain very proud to be Principal of Britannica

International School, Shanghai.

With this in mind, we recognise that there is still much to do. We must continue to ensure these

improvements are ongoing and sustainable. From January, Britannica International and its staff will work

tirelessly to build upon our successes and focus on further improving the quality of teaching and

learning, progress, achievement and enrichment opportunities for every student.

We will say goodbye to some of our students and their families this week as they relocate home, and

welcome a number of new families who will be joining the Britannica community in January. I would like

to wish our departing students every success in their future educational endeavors and extend a warm

welcome to our newly arriving students.

Our teachers are privileged each day to participate in their student’s academic journey. They recognise

and applaud just how hard their students work. They celebrate their students’ achievements whether

great or small and they share with pride the progress their students make with their learning. I would

like to extend my sincere appreciation to all of Britannica’s teachers as they enter a period of school

holidays without their family and friends.

A polite reminder that Britannica International will reopen at 08:20 on Tuesday 5th January.

I wish you and your families a safe and relaxing winter holiday.

Kind Regards,

Paul Farrell

Principal
