What a great term it has been for our secondary students in PE and sport. On behalf of the PE department we couldn’t be any prouder of our secondary students’ efforts so far this term. Every year group, from Year 7 through to Year 13, have been working extremely hard in their respective sports. Whether this be improving and developing their running, jumping and throwing in our Athletics unit of work, or refining their skills, techniques and tactical game play in our Net/Wall unit of work to also further developing their skills and techniques in swimming it has been a very successful term for our secondary students so far.

Not only this but it’s also nice to see many of our secondary students taking part in many inter-school competitions throughout the year as part of our Britannica Knights Programme. Just last weekend some of our secondary students took part in our first Ultimate Frisbee tournament of the year. The students tactical awareness and gameplay was tested during the tournament with our team eventually coming up short in second place with 1 loss, 1 draw and 1 win against much older and more experienced teams. It truly was a great weekend of sport and our Ultimate Frisbee students should feel very proud of their achievements. To date many of our secondary students have competed against other schools in football, swimming and ultimate frisbee and I’m pleased to inform you we have many more tournaments to compete in as the year continues so until then we wish all our Britannica Knights sports stars for those future competitions.

Overall, as mentioned previously, it has once again been a very busy term so far for our secondary students in PE and sport and as always, we look forward to seeing what further progress is made as the weeks develop.

Well done once again secondary and keep up the excellent work.
