A warm welcome back to Britannica Primary School as we commence the exciting and eventful Summer term. In Year 1, our young learners will be diving into a range of exciting subjects. In Mathematics, they will explore the concepts of length and height, laying the foundation for their numerical understanding. In English, the focus will be on developing their letter writing skills, fostering effective communication. In Science, they will learn about the wonders of plants and their life cycles, promoting curiosity and scientific inquiry.

Our Year 2 students are in for an enriching term ahead. In Mathematics, they will begin exploring the fascinating world of fractions, sharpening their mathematical reasoning. Continuing with their 'Kings and Queens' history topic, they will focus on the intriguing and enigmatic monarch, Richard III, delving into the past and uncovering historical mysteries. In Science, Year 2 will journey deeper into the realm of materials, conducting experiments and learning about their properties.

Year 3 students will embark on an exciting journey into ancient Egypt. They will explore the rich history, culture, and traditions of this fascinating civilization, igniting their curiosity and fostering a deeper understanding of the past.

In Year 4, our students will delve into the topic of world leaders and important people of change. They will examine the lives and contributions of influential figures, learning valuable lessons about leadership, perseverance, and making a positive impact on the world creating their own biographies about their chosen leader.

Finally in Year 5, our students will focus their topic lessons on studying tropical rainforests. They will explore the biodiversity, ecosystems, and environmental challenges associated with these vital habitats. Through this exploration, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of conservation and sustainability.
