On Friday, the whole school came together to celebrate the 2025 fashion show at Britannica. This year's theme built upon last year's success, and saw the Secondary students collaborating on a collection of outfits for our catwalk. "Together in Style: Britannica's Record-Breaking Fashion Show". It was fantastic to see the Secondary Art students playing a leading role in designing and creating outfits for the fashion show. They took charge of the creative process and set the artistic direction for the outfits. The students collaborated closely with peers from other year groups, sharing their expertise in art and design to guide the overall look and feel of the catwalk collection. The students primarily used sustainable materials, like paper, allowing them to explore techniques such as folding, bending, and pleating. Parents were also invited to create outfits at home with their children, leading to a record number of our students walking the runway.

Collaboration and community in art are vital components that enrich the creative process and enhance cultural expression. When students and parents unite as artists, they share ideas and problem-solve creatively. As a Secondary school, working together and encouraging group participation is essential for strengthening social ties and fostering a vibrant artistic community. A big thank you to everyone who got involved—fashion is art, art is fashion and we are all the canvas.
