February is always a time of anticipation and excitement in the Secondary School at Britannica. Not only do we celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year, our Year 9 students are finalising their IGCSE subject choices for next year, while university decisions begin to take shape.

Our Year 13 students are already celebrating a well-deserved and impressive set of university offers from respected institutions across the UK, US, and beyond. Some of this year offers include Fine Art at the University of the Arts London, Fashion Design at Pratt Institute, Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, Engineering at Lancaster University, and English at the University of Nottingham Ningbo. These remarkable achievements reflect years of dedication. Students have balanced rigorous academic study with portfolio building, interview preparation, and additional testing. Many have refined multiple drafts of their personal statements and spent months enhancing their creative or research work. Teachers have guided them throughout, providing reference letters, mock interviews, and targeted application workshops.

These offers highlight not only academic strength but also the resilience, creativity, and determination of our students. They have successfully navigated complex application systems and international competition with outstanding focus and maturity. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to supporting them as they take their next steps in education.

As we gallop into the Year of the Horse, a symbol of energy, determination, and progress, our students once again embody these qualities through their perseverance and enthusiasm. I encourage everyone to take a well-earned break, recharge, and welcome the new year with renewed spirit. May the Year of the Horse bring strength, success, and bright opportunities to all. I wish you a joyous Chinese New Year and a restful holiday!
