It has been a pleasure, over the past fortnight, to interview so many passionate, thoughtful, and engaged young people who have put themselves forward for leadership positions in the 2026-27 academic year. Our school values shone throughout the process; all the candidates exhibited excellence, respect, responsibility, integrity, and compassion for others, and we are delighted to have assembled such a wonderful team.
When we encourage students to apply for a leadership role – we have House Captains, Student Librarians, Prefects, Form Representatives, and a lively Student Council – we emphasise that leadership takes many forms. One doesn’t need to be at the ‘top’ of a tree to make a profound difference to the lives of others, for example, and sometimes the quietest person in the room is able to effect the biggest changes. We’re excited to see what they will achieve, collectively, this year!
Well done to all of our student leaders and special congratulations to Denis and Jess, who will be our Head Boy and Girl, and to Chihiro, whose outstanding academic achievements have earned him a new role as Senior Scholar. They will be outstanding ambassadors for our school and powerful advocates for their peers.
